Starting Weight, Current Weight, Highest Weight, Lowest Weight and Ultimate Goal Weight - not a stupid question at all, i didn’t know at first either anon

Okay so i just started trying to be fit and healthy to lose weight. Like you i don't really need to lose a significant amount of weight just probably about 10-15lbs so i was wondering what did you change in your diet? What did you start eating more of and less of?


Okay so I only did a few things to change my diet. 

  1. Portion Size - I had to change this because I didn’t eat until i was full/satiated, I ate till I pretty much wanted to hibernate like a bear in the winter.
  2. Guilty Pleasure - For me this was potato chips. Mostly Doritos and Hot Fries, I ate probably a bag a day especially when I was in school because it was in the vending machines. So I cut down on my intake and went cold turkey for a while, now its about a bag maybe two a week.
  3. Water/Green Tea - I started to drink A LOT more water and about 2-4 cups of green tea a day. 

So yeah that’s about it. I can’t really change too much anyway because my dad cooks dinner and he cooks cuban food so it’s pretty much rice, beans, steak/chicken for me a lot of nights. So yeah good i hope this helped??

What exercise plan did you have to lose the weight?


Um pretty much a mix of Zumba and Insanity about 3-4 times a week normally for about 30min to an hour.

When i first started though i started with Jillian’s 30 day shred. From there i began running i started out at running about 1/2 of a mile nonstop (if even that??) to nearly 2 miles last time i ran. I had to stop in the last couple months though because the weather here even early in morning and late in the evening is just way too hot for working out outside.

Since December I’ve lost 9lbs from my heaviest weight and my goal was to lose about 10lbs but actually i’m pretty happy at where I’m at now.

It’s not about the number but about how i feel and even though its taken me about 4 months to lose only 9lbs i’m happy about it because i’ll be honest i’m lazy and didn’t want to give it 110% i gave it more like 85% and even though it took just a bit more time i’m okay with it.

Now it’s all about maintaining myself.
